A wearable artwork printed on cotton.

This scarf translates an original artwork into a textile piece, allowing the image to move beyond the frame and become something intimate, physical and adaptable.

The composition has been specifically developed for the square format of the scarf, using elements from the original work and extending them across the surface of the fabric. The border becomes part of the image itself, referencing the perforated edge of photographic film.

Designed as an artwork as much as an object, the scarf can be worn, folded, framed or displayed.

THE ARTWORK

The design originates from an original work by Gregor Barratt and continues his exploration of photography, film, perception and the physical material through which an image exists.

Rather than simply reproducing the artwork onto fabric, the scarf transforms it into another object: an image that can be folded, worn, concealed, unfolded and continually recomposed.

Its appearance therefore changes according to the way it is handled. No single configuration presents the complete image in quite the same way.

MATERIAL & PRINT

The artwork is digitally printed onto cotton using a high-resolution textile printing process designed to preserve subtle variations in tone, texture and detail.

The natural character of cotton gives the image a softer and more tactile quality than a conventional photographic print, allowing the work to exist somewhere between image, textile and object.

CARE

Handle with care.

Cold hand wash recommended.
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Iron on reverse at low temperature.

To preserve the intensity of the print over time, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
